Image Conversion Guides
Convert AVIF to PNG or JPG
Keep or change dimensions
Keep the original size for a direct conversion. Existing resize controls can reduce dimensions proportionally without automatically enlarging smaller images.
Choose an output
PNG preserves alpha and avoids additional lossy encoding, but can be larger. JPG flattens transparent pixels onto white and uses a quality preset. JPG can be smaller than PNG, but is not guaranteed to be smaller than AVIF.
Convert your files
- 1Choose AVIF to PNG or AVIF to JPG from Image Conversions.
- 2Add valid still .avif images, then confirm the output and optional resize settings.
- 3Convert and download the successful files individually or with the existing successful-files ZIP.
Validation and limits
Uppercase .AVIF is accepted. File contents, extension and supplied MIME type must agree; browser MIME alone is not trusted. Animated, corrupted or renamed files fail without using allowance. Sources are limited to 50 MiB, 20,000 pixels per side and 100 million pixels total.
Single files, same-format batches and mixed supported still-image batches use the existing plan limits. Original dimensions remain unless you choose a resize option; images are not automatically enlarged. Source metadata is removed by default. Private storage, file expiration and ownership rules remain unchanged.
