About This Operation
Extract selectable text from one or more PDFs. Each PDF produces its own plain-text file, with Page 1, Page 2 and later labels kept in source order.
Plain text does not reproduce fonts, images, columns, positioning or complex tables exactly, and complex layouts can have imperfect reading order.
Text-based, valid and unencrypted PDF files. Scanned-image OCR is not included.
One UTF-8 .txt file per successful PDF, with clearly separated page labels.
Simple Workflow
Choose one or more PDF files.
Extract selectable text from each PDF independently.
View, copy, share or download each TXT result.
Useful Details
Selectable text is extracted; exact visual layout and reading order are not guaranteed.
Images and visual formatting are not included in plain text.
Interactive, encrypted and password-protected PDFs are rejected.
Only the validated text result enters the converted-file retention lifecycle.
Built Around Your Files and Privacy
Convert It checks uploaded files against the expected format before processing so invalid or unsupported files can be stopped early.
You keep your rights to the files you upload and the converted files you create. Only upload content you have permission to use.
Source files are handled in private temporary storage, while converted files follow the retention period for your visitor or account level.
