How to Reorder Pages in a PDF
Reorder a PDF
- 1Open Reorder PDF Pages and add one valid PDF.
- 2Wait for native inspection to confirm the source and page count.
- 3Arrange the pages in the required order, checking each page number carefully.
- 4Confirm the locked .pdf output name and start processing.
- 5Open the completed PDF and verify the first, last, and moved pages.
How order is protected
The browser supplies the intended page selection, but the server and database enforce operation rules and the worker validates the result. For a selection such as 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, successful completion requires exactly five output pages. A mismatched page count cannot create the completed-file record or charge quota.
This is different from merely rotating a page’s visual orientation. Reordering changes where a page appears; it does not edit text, crop content, or change the page’s internal design.
Reorder, extract, or combine?
- Use Reorder PDF Pages to rearrange pages from one inspected PDF.
- Use Extract PDF Pages to create a PDF from selected pages of one source.
- Use Combine PDF Files to append two or more separate PDFs in document order.
- Use Images to PDF when the sources are images rather than PDF documents.
Limitations and checks
Encrypted, malformed, password-protected, or active-content PDFs may be rejected. Page inspection is non-billable and does not consume conversion quota; the downstream successful operation follows the current account or plan limits. Always review the output before replacing an important original.
